THE COURSE OF THE EVENT
Below is a description of how to prepare for the event and what happens on the day of the event.
BEFORE THE EVENT
REGISTRATION FOR THE EVENT
Teams register for the event on the website. Teams can also book breakfast, a rental bike and a rental map holder in advance.
REPORTING OF PARTICIPATION INFORMATION
Competitors must provide their team details after they have completed the payment transaction on the website. A link to the form will be sent by email with the order confirmation.
INFORMATION LETTERS
Two information letters will be sent to competitors by email before the event. The first will be sent approximately two weeks before the event and the second approximately one week before the event. The information letters should be read carefully as they contain important information for the event, such as the rules, timetable, map of the event area and route book.
MONITORING WEBSITES AND THE SOCIAL MEDIA
We recommend you follow the event website and social media. We will use them to provide information about the event and tips for participants.
ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT
MATERIAL DISTRIBUTION AND PREPARATION
Competitors arrive at the venue well in advance on the morning of the event. Before distributing the material, competitors are advised to prepare their own equipment and refuel as necessary. It is also possible to have breakfast provided by the organisers, which should be booked in advance. The distribution of materials will start at the time announced in advance. Competitors will be given race bags containing all the necessary material for route planning.
PLANNING
Space and time are reserved for competitors to plan their routes. Each team will be able to study the material provided in its own way and ask the organisers any questions they may have.
MOVING TO THE START AREA AND START BRIEFING
Before the start, competitors will move their bikes and any other items to the designated area and proceed to the start area. Before leaving, competitors will reset their EMIT card. The organisers will hold a start briefing about 10 minutes before the start to give any final instructions for the race.
COMPETITION
The task of the competitors is to orienteer the race route as quickly as possible from the start to the finish, enjoying the journey, of course. Along the route, the competitors must follow the instructions at any task crossings.
FINISH LINE
When the competitors arrive at the finish line, they can enjoy a hot meal and a sauna. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each series as scheduled.
